When i was 11 i start to race but it was just for fun. I couldn’t place well back then, because I was a late bloomer and was too small for my age. But now that I’m older and work hard, it’s getting better and I’m starting to get some results. I always want to work harder and smarter to become better and hopefully soon, I’ll be THE BEST

SOMETHING YOU THINK EVERYONE SHOULD TRY IN THEIR LIFETIME: We are here on this Earth not so, so I believe everybody should go for their dreams! I believe the motto that all that we are is a product of our thought. What we allow ourselves to think about will eventually manifest.

CRAZIEST DREAM: I dream a lot, especially when I eat a large dinner. Typically I dream about cars — Ferrari’s to be exact. I also dream about skiing and getting huge air off a ramp… right at the landing I wake up in a cold sweat.

AGE YOU LEARNED TO SHRED: 3 years old.

WHAT EXCITES YOU?: Standing on skis on a hard snow or ice, knowing it’s up to me to shape my run. I love that feeling. Chicks excite me too.

snowboarder I tried to respect as much as possible the true values of this sport. Many have told me I am of a persistent determination and ceaselessly pushing away the limits of the impossible, it is true I do not content myself with being equalled and contemplates defeat with even less complacency: I always try to go further, higher and with the best style. I am a man of heart and honour, I never take myself seriously. I try to communicate throughout my snowboarding moves and approach, reminding people of the dreams and hopes of their childhood: to be a hero, to become famous through courage, and to distinguish oneself by the nobility of the soul and total dedication to a sport. What Excites Your? Big jump, big montains, fresh powder , my kids and my wife , my family, my friend , My mom cooking.

and then when the winter came around here, it was kind of natural to switch to snowboarding. So, yeah, since then I’m hooked in, riding sideways.

What Excites You: Alaska pow.

when I was 2 and racing when I was 10. I grew up playing just about every sport in some capacity. But skiing was always the sport of choice. I made the US Ski Team when I was 18, then went on to winning an Olympic Gold Medal in Torino then the World Cup GS Globe. After winning the Olympics I started SHRED Optics with Carlo Salmini, to make a product that wasn’t “racer” and was outside of most peoples idea of what a goggle should look like. When I’m not racing, I try to get in as much powder skiing as possible and try to perfect the world’s ugliest misty 7. Otherwise in the summer I love to waterski, Mountain bike, play tennis and just about any other sport.

What Excites You: Skiing of course is the number one thing. Doing anything that entails my going fast or catching air. Otherwise, steak, food from my fryer, ice cream, sleeping, ect.

feel lucky to have grown up in a this amazing place. Here, it’s all about the mountain. It’s been my companion from the beginning. With its deep powder and fresh mountain breezes, this place has fueled who I am today. I graduated from a High Tech School for Mechanical and Economic Engineering and did my time for the mandatory Austrian civil service at the Red Cross. That’s when I thought I’d hit the shred scene and turn pro. And here I am.

Craziest Dream: I guess that would be jumping off of a very high peak without a parachute and suddenly starting to fly around the Alps like Superman. Just imagine what amazing freeride lines I could do flying from peak to peak! Damn…

Age You Learned to Shred: I grew up with winter sports. I got on skis when I was just 3 and was on the sticks until 16, when I finally found my true passion: snowboarding.

What Excites You: The day I rode in powder for 4 days straight was just the top experience. Imagine 4 days of straight 1 meter powder, nonstop!
