If you were one of the hundreds of thousands of people to check out Absinthe’s Neverland Tour throughout the world, you would have seen this Slytech Protection section somewhere along the line…
Arguably one of Snowboarding’s biggest risk-takers, Romain de Marchi — while oddly not wearing a helmet (he says he’s too old-school for it) — he relies on his Slytech 2nd Skin Back Protector at EVERY SESSION. Whether he’s charging big mountain or is on piste for a quick late afternoon cruiser sesh, he straps it on.
“Why not?” he once told me, “I can’t even feel it!”
Introducing the all new 2nd Skin Protection Series from Slytech. Subtle, yet important enhancements have been made across the line, making for an even more free and safe experience. Whether you’re into snowboarding or skiing — even mountain biking — you can rest assured that these products have been thoroughly engineered with REAL SCIENCE backing up the safety claims.

Granted, 2 minutes and 45 seconds of a web video is pretty long to endure, but I just can’t get enough of that crazy Romain action.
Stick around to the end of the vid… Romain takes some serious hits to the back. This 2002 Absinthe Films release called Vivid was from the young, wild and crazy days when Romain went for broke, consequences be damned. This was before he decided to strap on Slytech Protection.
I’m not entirely sure whether Romain was injured on that last scene, but judging by the people rushing to his aid, they certainly thought he might just have been…
